Your Role

You willbe responsible fordesigning, developing, and enhancingManufacturing Process Planning capabilities within Windchill, one of the world’s leading PLM platforms. As part of the Windchill R&D organization, you will build scalable,high-qualitysoftware usingJava, Windchill extension frameworks, and modern development tools.

This role involves close collaboration with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Windchill Platform Engineering. You will contribute to new features, performance improvements, user experience enhancements, and the evolution of coreMPMLinkfunctionality used by global manufacturing customers.

Your Team

You willjoin theWindchill R&D team in Montreal, a key engineering group responsible for delivering core Manufacturing Process Planning features. The team collaborates closely with global engineering teams, product managers, and manufacturing domain experts.

You willwork alongside experienced engineers who are passionate about architecture, performance, product quality, anddeliveringreal worldmanufacturing solutions.

YourDay-to-day

In this role, you will:

• Analyze functional requirements provided by Product Management and subject matter experts (SMEs).

• Design technical solutions and detailed software components for new and existing features.

• Develop and implement Windchill customizations,MPMLinklogic, and backend services.

• Contribute code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions.

• Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing for all developed components.

• Workwithbuildingpipelines, CI/CD automation, and development tooling.

• Collaborate daily in an Agile environment usingstand-ups, iteration planning, and demos.

• Stay current with Windchill platform updates and continuously evolve your technical skill set.

Must HaveSkills

• 1-4 years of professional development experience.

• StrongproficiencyinJava,object-orienteddesign, and enterprise software development.

• Experience with server sideandclient-sidedevelopment (Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML).

• Experience with RESTful APIs, relational databases, and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker) and modern development environments (IntelliJ/Eclipse).

• Strongproblem-solvingskills with the ability to analyze complex systems.

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

• Handson experience withWindchill, MPMLink, or other PLM platforms.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, or microservices (AWS/Azure).

• Experience usingAIassistedcoding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) is a plus.

Votre rôle

Vous serez responsable de concevoir, développer et améliorer les fonctionnalités liées à la planification des procédés de fabrication (Manufacturing Process Planning) dans Windchill, l’une des plateformes PLM les plus utilisées dans l’industrie manufacturière. Au sein de l’équipe de R&D Windchill, vous contribuerez à bâtir des solutions logicielles robustes et évolutives en utilisant Java, les cadres d’extension Windchill ainsi que des outils de développement modernes.

Ce rôle implique une collaboration étroite avec la gestion de produit, l’assurance qualité et les équipes de développement de la plateforme Windchill. Vous participerez à l’évolution des fonctionnalités de base d’MPMLink, à l’amélioration des performances, à l’optimisation de l’expérience utilisateur et au développement de nouvelles capacités utilisées par les fabricants du monde entier.

Votre impact

La suite de planification des procédés de fabrication de Windchill est un élément essentiel de la stratégie de transformation numérique et du fil numérique (Digital Thread) de PTC. Votre travail aura un impact direct sur la façon dont les entreprises manufacturières :

• Transforment des EBOM en mBOM
• Planifient, séquencent et optimisent leurs opérations de production
• Assurent une exécution manufacturière efficace et uniforme
• Intègrent les données produit à travers l’ingénierie, la chaîne d’approvisionnement et le plancher de production

En contribuant à l’évolution d’MPMLink et des composants centraux de Windchill, vous aiderez à offrir des solutions manufacturières fiables, évolutives et innovantes qui accélèrent la transformation numérique chez nos clients.

Votre équipe

Vous ferez partie de l’équipe R&D Windchill à Montréal, un groupe de développement stratégique responsable de la livraison des fonctionnalités clés de planification des procédés de fabrication. L’équipe collabore régulièrement avec des équipes internationales de développement, de gestion produit et des experts du domaine manufacturier.

Vous travaillerez avec des développeurs passionnés par l’architecture logicielle, la performance, la qualité du produit et le développement de solutions concrètes pour l’industrie.

Votre quotidien

Dans ce rôle, vous serez appelé à :

• Analyser les exigences fonctionnelles fournies par la gestion de produit et les experts métiers.
• Concevoir des solutions techniques et des composants logiciels pour des fonctionnalités nouvelles ou existantes.
• Développer et implémenter des personnalisations Windchill, la logique MPMLink et des servicesbackend.
• Participer aux revues de code, revues de conception et discussions architecturales.
• Développer et maintenir des points d’intégration via REST, Info*Engine ou les API de services Windchill.
• Effectuer des tests unitaires, d’intégration et de régression.
• Travailler avec les pipelines debuild, l’automatisation CI/CD et les outils de développement.
• Collaborer quotidiennement dans un environnement Agile (mêlées quotidiennes, planification d’itération, démonstrations).
• Se tenir à jour sur les évolutions de la plateforme Windchill et développer continuellement vos compétences techniques.

Compétences essentielles

• Excellente maîtrise de Java, de la programmation orientée objet et du développement logiciel d’entreprise.
• Expérience en développementbackendetfrontend(Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML).
• Bonne connaissance des API REST, des bases de données relationnelles et des systèmes distribués.
• Familiarité avec des outils de conteneurisation tels que Docker, et des environnements de développement modernes (IntelliJ/Eclipse).
• Solides aptitudes en résolution de problèmes et en analyse de systèmes complexes.
