Senior Engineer (Mechanical)

Join Qualus, a leading engineering services company, as a Senior Substation Engineer - Mechanical in our T&D Canada business. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and review of mechanical design drawings, detailed design documents, and leading projects from conception through construction and commissioning. You will also coordinate construction and commissioning activities with utility clients and subcontractors, and enhance and maintain relationships with internal groups as well as external contractors and clients.

Missions

• Preparation and review of mechanical design drawings and detailed design documents.
• Lead projects from conception through construction and commissioning, including mentoring junior engineers.
• Coordinate and oversee the development of resource planning, scope, schedule, and budget for the project discipline team.

Profil recherché

- Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university along with a Canadian Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng.) or the ability to register as a Professional Engineer with EGBC

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship is required

- Strong understanding of regulatory codes and standards, including (NBC-AB Edition, NECB, ASHRAE, NFPA, API, SMACNA etc.)

- 8-10+ years of mechanical engineering experience related to HVAC systems

- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is considered an asset

- Experience with mechanical design for utility substations
