Job Description:
The Snowflake Lead Engineer will be responsible for defining the Snowflake strategy and leading migration efforts to the Snowflake platform. This role requires a deep understanding of data warehousing and cloud-based data solutions. Key responsibilities include conducting architecture reviews, ensuring robust governance throughout the data lifecycle, and providing solutioning expertise to optimize performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions on the Snowflake platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Snowflake strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
- Oversee data migration projects to transition legacy systems to the Snowflake platform.
- Conduct architecture reviews to ensure best practices are followed for design and deployment.
- Establish and enforce governance policies to maintain data integrity and security.
- Provide hands-on leadership in solution design, development, and deployment on the Snowflake environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide suitable architectural solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
- Monitor performance and recommend optimizations for data workflows within Snowflake.

Skills Required:
- Extensive experience with Snowflake architecture, data loading, transformation, and query performance optimization.
- Proficient in SQL and familiarity with data modeling concepts.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
