We are currently seeking a Cost Controller to join our vibrant team in Radisson Blu Resort Fiji.

As a Cost Controller, you infuse our strategic sourcing endeavors with a heightened sense of ambition, a focus on delivering results, and a genuine passion for optimizing our procurement processes. Your dynamic approach and dedication help safeguard the financial health of every plate, pour and purchase.

  • Supports the smooth running of Food & Beverage control, ensuring effective, efficient management of receiving, storing and issuing processes across the department.
  • Works proactively with outlet and department managers to analyze food and beverage costs, providing timely, accurate reporting that informs sound business decisions.
  • Oversees stock control across stores, kitchens and bars; including regular stock counts, par level management and secure storage of high-value items.
  • Contributes to food and beverage profitability through menu costing, market price surveys, wastage monitoring and analysis of discounting impacts on cost of goods sold.
  • Monitors other cost areas impacting hotel profitability, including freight, duties and inventories across engineering, guest supplies and stationery.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with Heads of Department and key stakeholders across the hotel.
  • Reviews and scrutinizes purchasing and cost control performance, providing recommendations that drive financial performance and add value.
  • Ensures adherence and compliance with all relevant legislation, with due diligence activities planned, delivered and documented to support internal and external audits.
  • Tertiary qualified in Accounting or Finance, with a strong grasp of procurement, inventory control and cost reconciliation processes.
  • Proven experience in a similar costing or finance role, ideally within a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Hands-on approach with the discipline and rigour to work in an environment that demands accuracy and excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office, with working knowledge of Opera, POS and finance/inventory systems considered a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, building effective relationships with kitchen, bar, vendor and finance teams.
  • Personal integrity and sound judgement, balancing commercial discipline with a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as business demands require.
