We are currently seeking a Resort Accountant to join our vibrant team in Fiji. As a Resort Accountant, you bring a refined sense of financial acumen, a detail-oriented mindset, and a dedication to excellence to our dynamic Finance Team. Your commitment to precision, strategic financial planning, and effective team collaboration elevates our financial operations to new heights.

  • Supports the smooth running of the accounting department, exerting diligent financial process control and ensuring efficiency and resilience to growth.
  • Provides management with reports and information, including daily revenue reports, weekly forecasts, and monthly P&L statements. that can be used as a basis for improved decision making.
  • Develops and implements business strategies where objectives are communicated, performance is measured accurately and reported upon to support strategic decisions to enable delivery.
  • Contributes to fostering a culture of growth, development, and performance within the department by supervising and supporting accounting team members across payroll, cashiering, and accounts payable.
  • Accountable for the hotel budget and profit & loss performance, ensuring that all accounting functions and disciplines, including general ledger reconciliations, balance sheet preparation, and CAPEX management, are controlled, audited, and developed.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders, including RHG Accounting, internal departments, and external auditors.
  • Takes ownership to ensure company policy, objectives, and standard accounting practices are adhered to, providing recommendations that will drive financial performance and provide added value.
  • Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered, and documented for internal and external audit, including tax submissions to FRCS.
  • Works proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort by developing financial controls that are complementary to the delivery of an exceptional guest experience.
  • Degree in Accounting / Finance, with CPA/CA qualifications being preferred.
  • At least 3-years' experience in a similar role, hospitality or multi-entity experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong in financial reporting, GL, reconciliations, and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/PMS (e.g., Opera, Sun Systems).
  • Ability to find creative solutions with proven problem-solving capabilities offering support where required.
  • Solid internal controls, audit, and statutory knowledge.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capability.
  • Able to manage month-end/year-end and tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management across operations and leadership.
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy.
