Role: Own Radity client projects end to end, from the first client conversation to production, while writing much of the code yourself.
Stack: Language-agnostic; you pick the right tool for each project and learn new ones fast. Current work centres on TypeScript and Python, with DevOps, cloud infrastructure and AI and LLM services.
Experience: You have owned complex projects end to end and guided other developers, typically with about 5+ years as a software engineer.
English: B2 or higher
Contract: Full-time, indefinite B2B contract with Radity.
Location: Remote
Core hours: 9:00-18:00 CET
The company
Radity is a Swiss software engineering company working with US and EU clients, most of them in insurance. We build platforms for insurers, such as underwriting portals, agent portals and systems on insurance platforms. Underwriters and agents use them every day; some are in active build, others live in production.
This is not a management-only role: you lead the team and still write code most days.
What you’ll do
- Take client projects from the business problem through design, build, release and support.
- Build backend services, frontends and infrastructure across the full stack.
- Set technical standards and mentor the developers on your team.
- Lead client meetings on your own: clarify needs, propose options and agree on next steps.
- Own testing, CI/CD, releases and production readiness.
- Work directly with client stakeholders, Radity leadership and your team.
What you bring
- Strong hands-on production work in at least two languages, including TypeScript or Python, and a stack you picked up quickly on a project.
- Complex projects you owned end to end, not only parts of them.
- System design you can explain, with its trade-offs.
- Calm, clear judgement under pressure and with unfamiliar technology.
- CI/CD, automated testing and cloud deployments you set up yourself.
- Daily, effective use of AI coding tools.
- Client meetings you ran alone, and experience mentoring developers.
Nice to have: AI features built into products; Java.
Not for you if you want to move away from writing code, or prefer heavy process frameworks such as SAFe.
