Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for our Partner company's travel program and spend across multiple regions. Working under the guidance of the Global Procurement Director, you will execute key travel strategies, drive policy compliance, and ensure the effective management of travel suppliers, tools, and processes.

You will lead regional travel teams while maintaining oversight of the global travel policy, vendors, booking platforms, and technologies.

Reporting directly to the Global Procurement Director, you will collaborate closely with regional stakeholders, operational teams, and external travel partners to deliver strategic initiatives, boost program adoption, and support overall business goals.

On a daily basis:

  • Analyze travel expenditure to unlock cost savings, value creation, and service enhancement opportunities.

  • Maintain a strong commercial mindset, actively tracking and delivering quantifiable financial benefits.

  • Work with business units to optimize travel spend, improve compliance, and minimize unnecessary travel.

  • Ensure group-wide adherence to the global travel policy.

  • Lead, direct, and support members of the regional travel teams across the organization.

  • Define and track program objectives, milestones, and key performance indicators.

  • Serve as a internal subject matter expert, offering strategic guidance and practical support on travel matters.

  • Oversee travel projects and change initiatives, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, budget, and timelines.

  • Act as the main escalation point for complex travel issues, collaborating with stakeholders for swift resolution.

  • Manage relationships with Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and key global travel suppliers.

  • Build and maintain supplier scorecards, KPIs, and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Drive adoption of approved travel technology, policies, and best-practice workflows.

  • Support duty of care, risk management, and emergency response frameworks in partnership with internal teams and vendors.

  • Apply travel expertise to refine and continuously improve policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Draft accurate, professional, and clear company-wide communications.

  • Spot opportunities for automation, operational efficiency, and process improvements.

Requirements

You are the ideal candidate if you have

  • fluent business English skills; additional European languages are a plus.

  • relevant degree or professional qualification in procurement, commerce, travel, or project management.

  • bring extensive experience in managing corporate travel programs across international markets.

  • have a solid grasp of multi-regional contracts, as well as core commercial and legal principles.

  • excel at spend analysis, reporting, and delivering actionable data insights.

  • demonstrate sharp attention to detail, especially regarding corporate communication accuracy.

  • hands-on experience implementing travel policies, guidelines, and governance models.

  • can manage and deliver end-to-end travel projects and multi-faceted initiatives on schedule.

  • have a proven track record in navigating complex commercial environments.

  • bring experience with KDS Neo or equivalent online booking tools (OBTs).

  • possess strong negotiation and commercial skills to effectively manage TMCs and travel partners.

  • 10+ years of professional experience within an international corporate environment.

  • are an effective communicator who can comfortably present to and influence senior leadership.

  • hold advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint).

  • experience coaching team members and promoting best practices.
