Profile match
Red Bull is a global beverage company best known for its iconic energy drink that serves as a brand centerpiece for a wide-ranging lifestyle marketing strategy. The organization heavily invests in extreme sports, music, and high-profile athletic sponsorships, effectively positioning itself as a media and event powerhouse rather than just a drink manufacturer. Through its extensive portfolio of sports teams and creative content production, it maintains a unique cultural identity that prioritizes high-energy experiences and adrenaline-fueled storytelling.

Establish Red Bull as a strong consumer-focused brand in México by designing and leading a short, mid and long term sports programme that builds real credibility for brand and product. Own the national sports agenda end-to-end strategy, athletes, events, gaming, partnerships and budget following the global Red Bull sports strategy while adapting global platforms into genuine local relevance. Work hand in hand with Field Marketing, Sales, Media Network and Communications to make sure Red Bull is credible inside the scenes that shape Mexican youth culture, and that this credibility converts into reach, trial and consumer growth. Be the reference of Red Bull brand values for the rest of the organization.

SPORTS STRATEGY & NATIONAL PROGRAMME

  • Design, develop and lead an innovative national sports and event programme, inventing and executing new event and athlete projects that are highly relevant for Mexican consumers, offer personal experiences to participants and spectators, and create unique content.

  • Translate global sports strategy into a focused national plan, prioritising the platforms with the clearest impact on brand relevance and business growth.

  • Maximise Red Bull's global athlete and event portfolio, bringing international athletes and platforms into locally relevant 360° plans and sending Mexican talent to global Red Bull activities.

  • Own the department budget with full transparency - forecasting, allocation and ROI - and deliver against annual business plan figures.

  • Run the sports department to high Red Bull standards in professionalism, cleverness, efficiency, legal, sales orientation and creativity.

COLLABORATION & DISCOVERY

  • Own the end-to-end connection between athletes and events in México, acting as a single point of integration across Athlete Marketing and Event Marketing rather than coordinating separate functions.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Trade, Field Marketing, Media Network, Communications and Partnerships to ensure strategic planning, flawless execution and measurable business impact.

  • Ensure every athlete moment and event delivers value beyond the day itself, in visibility, content and consumer connection.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of Mexican sports communities, consumer trends and emerging scenes to uncover new athletes, partnerships and growth platforms ahead of competition.

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner across the organization, translating athletes, events and content into fewer, bigger, better-executed experiences.

ATHLETES & INFLUENCERS

  • Immerse yourself in Mexico's sports scenes and communities, staying one step ahead of emerging talent, trends and cultural movements.

  • Discover, sign and grow a winning national athlete portfolio anchored in Red Bull's Core Sports, backing athletes with real cultural credibility and genuine pull with consumers.

  • Service athletes with the best individual package - performance, marketing and communication - and continuously optimise those partnerships.

  • Make the can impossible to miss across athlete and influencer content, and bridge athletes into creator, streamer and gaming ecosystems to reach beyond core sports audiences.

  • Open pathways for the next generation of Mexican talent, spotting them early and building clear routes to grow inside Red Bull's athlete ecosystem.

  • Own the definitive view of the Mexican sports landscape - athletes, teams, events, white spaces and cultural shifts - and turn it into sharper talent decisions.

  • Turn athlete wins into cultural moments and set the bar for execution, delivering impact felt by the athlete and proven for the brand.

GAMING

  • Grow Red Bull's presence and relevance in gaming, one of the most important territories to connect with young consumers in México.

  • Establish Red Bull as a credible and functional beverage across the national gaming landscape - third-party events, opinion leaders, industry, agencies, media, federations and authorities - driving daily usage and sales on a broad scale.

  • Build a portfolio of gamers, streamers and creators with real community pull, and integrate them with athletes, events and content.

  • Bring global gaming platforms and partnerships to life locally, and create proprietary gaming moments that connect online communities to physical experiences.

  • Ensure consistent can and product visibility across gaming content, streams and events, and amplify the best-performing content to scale reach.

PARTNERSHIPS

  • Build and nurture Red Bull's network across Mexico's sports, culture and business ecosystems, so the brand has a seat at the table before opportunities go to market.

  • Identify and engage the most fitting sports organizations - teams, leagues and federations - to expand Red Bull's presence and reach new communities.

  • Lead partnership negotiations and guide the team towards strategic and authentic partnerships aligned with Red Bull's brand guidelines.

  • Drive the marketing activities that bring these partnerships to life, sharing Red Bull brand values and product knowledge with partners and building strong relationships with their key stakeholders.

  • Establish Red Bull as a functional and innovative brand within team sports by engaging athletes, trainers, opinion leaders, club partners, communities, agencies and media.

  • Bring the right partners in: pursue partnerships that unlock real access - content, athletes, audiences and consumption environments - over passive exposure.

  • Attract external brands, media partners and sponsors into Red Bull platforms, athletes and events, bringing in co-investment and shared budgets that extend what we can build beyond our own resources.

  • Know the scene deeply enough to be trusted by it, understanding who moves culture, how deals get done and where competition is already positioned.

  • Back fewer, bigger partnerships executed with excellence, and walk away from anything that does not clearly drive brand and business growth.

BRANDING & CONTENT

  • Unlock the full storytelling potential of every athlete, event and gaming moment alongside Media Network, Communications, Partnerships and Field Marketing - making sure the best stories travel, not just get made.

  • Design and contribute unique stories, topics and formats for Red Bull Media House, and identify sports narratives that can be amplified across owned, earned, shared and paid channels.

  • Own brand appearance across all national sports programmes and fields, according to international benchmarks and guidelines.

  • Ensure information transfer in both directions via Red Bull InfoNet for all sports-related topics - athlete and event fact sheets, calendars and contacts.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Recruit, develop and retain high-performing talent capable of delivering impactful Sports Marketing programmes in a lean structure where ownership is high and redundancy is low.

  • Lead, coach and manage direct reports to deliver annual national goals, fostering accountability, ownership and a high-performance mindset - with clarity on priorities as the main driver of speed.

  • Lead through influence as much as hierarchy, driving results through agencies, freelancers and cross-functional partners, and holding external partners to Red Bull's executional and premium standards.

  • Supervise, direct and support Field Marketing Managers on all sports-related matters, building local capability to execute sports and athlete events to Red Bull standards across regions.

  • Develop the team through individualized coaching, candid feedback and stretch assignments that build a real talent pipeline for México.

  • Foster a performance-driven culture that rewards initiative, entrepreneurial spirit and executional excellence, aligned with Red Bull's values, with clear expectations and recognition of achievements.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English (second language appreciated).

  • 4-6 years in sports or athlete marketing, preferably with an agency, brand, federation or sports property.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Mexican and global sports landscape, including key athletes, leagues, governing bodies and emerging industry trends.

  • Extensive network within the sports, creative and media industries.

  • Strong leadership, innovation, organization and team skills.

  • Excellent understanding of media, digital and gaming landscapes and trends.

  • Expertise in partnership development and management, performance, marketing and communication.

  • Supervision of marketing projects across strategy, communication, logistics, finance, legal and sales challenges.

  • Personal skills: leadership, creativity, public speaking, innovative, sporty, open-minded, confident, motivated, team-oriented, friendly, loyal, communicative, responsible, organized, stress-resistant, calm.

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Educated in sports, experiential marketing or media, with work experience in the sports industry, event or marketing agency, sport institution, federation, or as a journalist. Experience in inventing and organizing sports projects.

We believe in the potential of everyone to give wiiings to people and ideas, regardless of gender expression, race, religion, affective-sexual orientation, origin, age and disability. In the world of Red Bull, everyone is welcome.
