Renesas Electronics is a Japanese semiconductor company formed in 2003 when Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric combined their chip divisions, later absorbing NEC Electronics as well. It is one of the largest suppliers of microcontrollers in the world and holds a particularly strong position in automotive silicon, where its R-Car processors and body and powertrain controllers sit inside a large share of vehicles built globally. It has spent the past decade buying into analog and connectivity through Intersil, IDT, Dialog and Altium, broadening from bare microcontrollers into complete embedded systems for industrial and internet of things customers.
Backed by Storm Ventures

Renesas is hiring a Sr. Staff Project/Program Design to join our market-leading AI and infrastructure power team, driving explosive growth across a portfolio of cutting-edge solutions for datacenter, Artificial Intelligence (AI), high-performance networking, and Edge AI client markets.

This team delivers industry-defining products including digital multiphase PWM controllers, smart power stages, high-density power modules, DC/DC regulators, and discrete MOSFETs. As a Sr. Staff Program Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing these technologies to market - partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution, strategic alignment, and ramp readiness.

This is a unique opportunity to launch your career in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment with direct exposure to product lifecycle management, cross-functional leadership, and strategic execution

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams across Design, Marketing, Systems & Applications, Validation, Product & Test Engineering, Firmware/Software, Supply Chain, Procurement, Packaging, and Quality to ensure seamless execution of NPI product releases.
  • Manage end-to-end program planning, tracking, and execution - from concept through market launch, including ramp readiness and safe launch activity.
  • Ensure process discipline, budget alignment, and execution efficiency while maintaining focus on priority deliverables and driving global process standardization.
  • Lead capacity-expansion initiatives across global manufacturing sites, aligning Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain to support scalable production.
  • Coordinate and conduct formal Project Gate reviews to ensure alignment, readiness, and decision clarity.
  • Motivate and guide cross-functional teams toward flawless execution, positive ROI, and disciplined, data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies, demonstrating agility and adaptability in complex, ambiguous environments.
  • Oversee wafer fabrication, assembly, test operations, and material logistics to ensure timely execution, cost efficiency, high quality, and smooth project flow.
  • Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders regarding milestones, sample delivery timelines, reliability testing, and product release status.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, reinforcing accountability and alignment through consistent, transparent communication.
  • Provide structured program updates to leadership, highlighting project status, risks, and recommended actions while maintaining accurate schedules, qualification plans, and PM tracking systems.
  • Drive process scalability and standardization initiatives to strengthen execution discipline across programs.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PhD preferred. Minimum 12+ years of Semiconductor industry experience with strong knowledge of the full product lifecycle. At least 6+ years as an NPI Program Manager; experience with Module, Controller and Smart Power Stages programs preferred.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flows including development, production processes, package architectures, and diverse package types. Prior experience at a fab or assembly site as a process or integration engineer is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional programs in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; supported by foundational program/project management training or certification.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, collaboration, and partnership skills across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and OSAT partners.
  • Highly analytical with strong organizational, problem-solving, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Fast learner with the ability to adopt new tools, systems, and processes; proficient in Microsoft Office and modern project management tools.
  • Self-driven, inquisitive, and committed to continuous personal and professional development.
