Reliability Engineer

As a Reliability Engineer based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, you will play a critical role in maximizing equipment performance, reducing downtime, and driving maintenance excellence across our manufacturing operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will leverage condition monitoring, predictive maintenance strategies, and data-driven insights to improve asset reliability, optimize maintenance programs, and support continuous operational improvement.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment uptime, performance, and lifecycle management.
• Lead condition monitoring and predictive maintenance initiatives to identify potential failures before they impact operations.
• Utilize CMMS systems to manage asset reliability data, maintenance planning, work orders, and performance tracking.
• Conduct reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) assessments to optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Perform root cause and failure analyses to identify recurring issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Partner with maintenance, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Analyze equipment performance trends and reliability metrics to drive data-based decision making.
• Identify opportunities for maintenance optimization, cost reduction, and productivity improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on asset performance, process effectiveness, and operational excellence.
• Develop recommendations, documentation, and standards that enhance reliability and maintenance best practices.

What You Bring

• Background in Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Hands-on experience working with CMMS platforms and maintenance management processes.
• Understanding of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles and asset management practices.
• Ability to conduct failure analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Knowledge of maintenance optimization strategies and reliability performance metrics.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
