Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)
Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)
We are looking for a driven, dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team and take full ownership of the billing function.
Medical billing experience is required or strongly preferred. Experience within Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) billing would be a significant advantage, but it is not essential.
The successful candidate will be someone who is intelligent, proactive, willing to learn, and able to work independently without requiring constant supervision or follow-up.
Requirements
- Manage day-to-day medical billing activities accurately and efficiently.
- Review billing information and ensure claims and documentation are complete and accurate.
- Process and maintain billing records in accordance with client requirements.
- Monitor outstanding billing items and follow up where necessary.
- Identify and resolve billing discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate clearly with relevant internal and external stakeholders regarding billing matters.
- Learn and effectively use the client's billing systems and processes.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed within required deadlines.
- Continuously look for ways to improve billing accuracy, efficiency, and processes.
- Previous medical billing experience is required or strongly preferred.
- ABA billing experience is a strong advantage, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Intelligent, analytical, and willing to learn new systems and processes.
- Able to work independently and take full ownership of responsibilities.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
