Audio Engineer (A1) - Denver

Description

Rhino Staging is looking for Lead Audio Engineer(s) to support concert tours, festivals, corporate events and more in the greater Denver area. We work with some of the biggest production companies in the business and provide labor to venues of all sizes.

The A1 position is responsible for the live sound system, technical execution and live front-of-house (FOH) mixing for primary show environments and general sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct the configuration, placement, tuning ("ringing out") and striking of the entire event audio system.
• Mix high-profile live audio from the Front-of-House (FOH) console, balancing musicians, vocalists and presenters, panel mics and audio/video playback systems.
• Oversee the Audio Assist (A2) to manage wireless RF microphone frequencies and coordinate mic placement backstage.
• Collaborate with the Producer and Show Caller to track live event cues.

Work Schedule : This is an on-call, as needed (W-2) positions. Hours will vary; including nights, weekends and holidays and there is no minimum guarantee of hours per week, month, etc.

Compensation: from $30 / hour (DOE)

Requirements

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of live audio engineering experience for large-scale live productions and/or corporate events.
• Advanced mastery of major digital and analog mixing consoles (e.g. Yamaha, Soundcraft, DiGiCo).
• Strong knowledge of Dante networking, frequency coordination and room-tuning software.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to push, pull and lift at least 50 lbs. as required for equipment handling.
• Ability to consistently walk, stand, bend, stoop & twist as required for on-site tasks.

Other Requirements:

• Reliable source of transportation to get to and from event sites in a timely manner
• Must understand general industry terms and fundamental principles
• Must be willing to work indoors or outdoors under varying weather conditions
• Must be willing to work cohesively with teammates and supervisors
• Must wear appropriate attire and footwear for concert / corporate events as outlined in Rhino policies
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English to ensure the safe execution of tasks and coordination with crew and clients*
• Must be 18 yrs of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent
