UX Engineer

Role Profile :

We are looking for an experienced UX Engineer to join our Finance IT Engineering team. The successful candidate will help build and evolve modern quality engineering and test automation capabilities across a diverse technology landscape spanning SaaS platforms, applications and services, APIs and integrations, and data products. The role will focus on product design work independently and autonomously, utilizing deep knowledge of at least one product area or user community while advising and supporting less experienced team members.

Background :

Our client has embarked on a strategic Billing Transformation program to fundamentally redesign and modernize the end-to-end Quote-to-Cash landscape. This greenfield transformation brings together SaaS platforms such as Oracle Fusion and Oracle RMB, engineered applications and services, APIs and integrations, and data products to create a modern, scalable technology ecosystem. Quality engineering and automation are central to the program, enabling continuous testing and reliable delivery across complex, cross-product business journeys.

Skills and Experience :

- Demonstrates strong knowledge of the design process.

- Expertise in UX tools such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, etc.

- Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript knowledge is an advantage.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define challenges, generate solutions, and recommend optimal approaches.

- Expertise in Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Interface Design, and Motion Design.

- Experience planning and conducting research activities, including usability testing and user satisfaction measurement.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights and identify opportunities.

- Financial domain expertise, including understanding of financial products, terminology, and workflows.

- Project planning and delivery experience with effective resource and timeline management.

- Strong customer focus and ability to develop tailored business solutions.

- Experience working with established design standards and contributing to design best practices.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

- 5+ years of UX design experience, preferably delivering complex digital solutions.

- Ability to work closely with clients to understand requirements and design user-centric experiences.

- Extensive experience with UX best practices, responsive design, and mobile-first principles.

- Strong understanding of User-Centered Design (UCD), user research, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic evaluation, accessibility, and usability standards.

- Ability to iterate designs efficiently based on feedback and testing.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills for conveying design ideas and solutions.

- Strong understanding of design thinking methodologies.

- Ability to collaborate effectively in distributed and cross-functional teams.

- Passion for solving user challenges through innovative design.

- Openness to receiving and incorporating constructive feedback.

- Keen interest in UX trends, emerging technologies, and design innovation.

Education and Professional Skills :

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.

- Strong English reading and writing proficiency.

Detailed Responsibilities :

- Own and deliver assigned UX initiatives independently.

- Utilize deep domain and product knowledge to support and mentor junior team members.

- Contribute to and promote organizational design standards.

- Support the creation, validation, and enhancement of innovative design solutions.

- Conduct user research and product validation activities with limited supervision.

- Apply best practices and design methodologies throughout the product lifecycle.

- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

- Research, conceptualize, prototype, and test digital product experiences aligned with client objectives.

- Design user stories, user journeys, and wireframes optimized across devices and platforms.

- Identify design challenges and create effective, user-friendly solutions.

- Drive strategic UX decisions for existing and new product features.
