Category Manager Professional Services (m/f/d)

RIEDEL Communications is the leading provider of live production tools in the media, sports and entertainment sectors. To cover our customers' needs holistically, we are divided into three business units: Product Division, Managed Technology & Riedel Networks.

The central division Corporate Functions supports our business in organization and handling of all transactional processes. Therefore, it's building the economic foundation of the divisions. The division also makes a significant contribution to the fulfilment of corporate goals by accelerating processes.

Join us as Category Manager Professional Services (m/f/d) on this exciting journey and help shape the strategic procurement of professional services across our international organization. In this highly visible role, you will drive category strategies, establish global supplier frameworks and act as a trusted commercial partner to stakeholders across the business.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You develop and execute global category strategies for professional services, including consulting, recruitment, IT services, software development partners, engineering services and freelancers.
• You lead strategic sourcing initiatives, tenders and commercial negotiations, including framework agreements, service level agreements, rate cards and contractual terms.
• You partner with internal stakeholders to define, challenge and optimize service requirements, scopes of work, deliverables, pricing models and measurable performance criteria.
• You establish and manage qualified supplier pools and preferred partner models while driving supplier performance, reliability and continuous improvement.
• You develop procurement standards, governance processes and contract templates with a strong focus on intellectual property protection, compliance, liability management and commercial risk mitigation.
• You support commercial project management throughout the full service lifecycle, including budget monitoring, scope adjustments, change management, cost tracking and supplier performance reviews.
• You monitor category performance, identify savings and cost avoidance opportunities and provide regular KPI reporting to Procurement leadership.

THAT'S YOU

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Economics or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, category management or commercial management of professional services
• Proven track record in sourcing and negotiating consulting services, IT services, software development, engineering services, freelancers or similar service categories
• Experience working in cross-functional project environments with strong stakeholder and supplier management capabilities
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills combined with a structured and proactive working style
• Collaborative and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to build trusted relationships across different functions and organizational levels
• Fluent German and English skills
• Experience with SAP, Coupa or comparable procurement systems is desirable
