We’re a profitable, YC-backed company looking for a Marketing & Partnerships Lead who lives and breathes points and miles. We’re small and we ship constantly. This is an opportunity to turn your expertise and industry relationships into a central role shaping how Roame reaches travelers.

The role

You’ll work directly with the founders to grow Roame’s presence through content, community, media, and partnerships.

You might write an article, join a podcast to talk about award travel, start a conversation in our Facebook community, creating a talking head video for social media, or meet a potential partner at a conference. You’ll also stay close to our customers by answering questions and improving the resources they rely on. You need to be a jack of all trades and own your work product.

We’re looking for someone who brings ideas, takes initiative, and follows through. You should enjoy being a public face of Roame and be equally comfortable doing the work behind the scenes.

What you’ll do

• Create content people find useful. Write points-and-miles articles, newsletters, social posts, and product announcements. Develop social media content that helps travelers understand and use Roame.

• Build our community presence. Engage with travelers on Facebook and Reddit, answer questions, start discussions, and turn community feedback into actionable ideas.

• Get Roame into the conversation. Pitch and join podcasts, develop relationships with journalists and creators, prepare PR announcements, and find opportunities to share what we’re building.

• Develop partnerships. Use your existing industry relationships and build new ones with creators, publishers, travel businesses, and loyalty programs. Take opportunities from outreach through execution and follow-up.

• Represent Roame at events. Attend conferences and community gatherings, arrange partner meetings, demonstrate the product, and turn introductions into lasting relationships.

• Improve the customer experience. Handle customer questions and issues, write help-center articles, improve support workflows, and help implement tools such as a support chatbot.

• Own the outcome. Set priorities, ship consistently, and track which content, relationships, and initiatives lead to meaningful engagement and customer growth.

Who you are

• You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in marketing, content, partnerships, travel media, or community management.
• You have expert knowledge of points and miles and regularly book award travel yourself. You understand transferable rewards, airline and hotel programs, partner redemptions, and award availability.
• You already have relationships within the points-and-miles and travel industry.
• You’re outgoing and comfortable representing Roame on podcasts, at conferences, and in conversations with customers and partners.
• You write clearly and can make complicated travel topics easy to understand.
• You can take an idea from start to finish, solve problems independently, and learn unfamiliar tools.
• You move with urgency. You follow up without reminders, communicate blockers early, and keep working toward a resolution.
• You’re comfortable with the breadth of a small-team role, including creating content, building relationships, and personally helping customers.

How we work

This is a full-time, in person or remote role within the United States, working closely with the founders.

We value initiative, clear communication, and reliable execution. The role includes travel to conferences and events, plus evening or weekend work especially for launches or time-sensitive customer and partner needs require it. We expect an ownership mentality with a sense of urgency. Prompt responses to messages and being proactive.

This role probably isn’t a fit if

• You lack deep, firsthand points-and-miles expertise.
• You’re uncomfortable representing Roame publicly and being on camera.
• You need detailed direction or frequent reminders.
• You prefer fixed responsibilities over shifting priorities.
• You need a strict nine-to-five schedule. Events, launches, and urgent issues sometimes require evening or weekend availability.
