What does the team work on?

Platform Operations is a department focused on VOD and Live content ingestion as well as the automated onboarding and payouts of the Content Partners themselves. This content is inclusive of first party on demand and live streaming content, as well as deep links out to third party content partner services. There are multiple departments supporting different aspects of this workflow, but ultimately everyone is dedicated to ensuring content and partners are flowing through our infrastructure pipeline and that all content is playing back properly for end users. The department facilitates the systems architecture, infrastructure, tooling and business processes for the delivery and maintenance of content with a core focus on optimal user experience and monetization.

What is the role?

The Systems Operations Associate facilitates the delivery of scalable process and product enhancements to Roku's content pipeline on behalf of key business stakeholders focused on business operations and service components. This role ladders up to the Platform Business & Revenue Operations group, which drives the vision, alignment, and execution of cross-functional workflows, tooling, and infrastructure needs for the content platform. The individual contributor serves as a subject matter expert of Roku's technology and business solutions owned and leveraged by the business operations department, supporting all aspects of change management related to feature releases and new process changes in partnership with business stakeholders. The Systems Operations Associate acts as the core liaison between business stakeholders and Roku's product and engineering teams, combining both technical and business functions that require strong organizational and communication skills. This fast-paced environment requires the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, and success depends on strong attention to detail, effective prioritization, and clear cross-functional communication.

What are the responsibilities of the role?

• p]:inline">Serve as a partner to business stakeholders and technical teams, understanding their workflows to identify opportunities for improved data accuracy, consolidation, and process efficiency
• p]:inline">Own the accuracy and integrity of business operations data across core systems, ensuring stakeholders are working from a single, reliable source of truth
• p]:inline">Support data governance and compliance requirements, including SOX and audit readiness, in partnership with legal, finance, and product teams
• p]:inline">Complete quarterly gap analyses of as-is and to-be processes, translating findings into functional specifications for product and engineering
• p]:inline">Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to design and improve in-house systems supporting business operations reporting, data consolidation, and workflow automation
• p]:inline">Participate in sprint planning to prioritize enhancements and net-new feature requests across owned product roadmaps
• p]:inline">Identify manual, error-prone, or duplicative workflows and drive automation initiatives that reduce risk and increase operational throughput
• p]:inline">Support stakeholders in testing and validation of new product features, data models, and workflows
• p]:inline">Develop and maintain documentation and training materials to support rollouts and drive tool adoption
• p]:inline">Maintain familiarity with upstream and downstream system integrations and assess how feature enhancements or data changes may impact business operations
• p]:inline">Support the maintenance of business and operational documentation in partnership with product and engineering counterparts

What experience would help someone be successful in this role at Roku?

• p]:inline">2-3 years of experience in business operations, systems operations, or a related analytical/operational role
• p]:inline">Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or other CRM/ERP systems
• p]:inline">Experience with data governance, data quality management, and SOX or similar compliance frameworks
• p]:inline">Experience supporting new product or feature launches requiring collaboration across cross-functional teams
• p]:inline">Comfort leveraging ticketing systems, reports, and dashboards (JIRA or Salesforce experience a plus)
• p]:inline">Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
• p]:inline">Advanced Excel/data analysis skills; experience with BI or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) a plus
• p]:inline">Self-organized with a structured, detail-oriented approach to workflows and problem-solving
• p]:inline">Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
