A Salesforce Developer will serve as the organization's platform expert, responsible for managing, configuring, and continuously evolving the Salesforce ecosystem with a strong focus on Salesforce CPQ to streamline and optimise quote-to-cash processes. The individual will leverage deep expertise in Salesforce administration and CPQ while championing the adoption of AI-powered Salesforce capabilities to enhance productivity, improve user experience, and drive smarter business operations.
The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:
Platform Administration:
- Serve as the primary Salesforce Administrator: user management, security (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, OWD), and platform health.
- Manage Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud configurations.
- Build and maintain Flows, validation rules, custom objects/fields, page layouts, record types, and Lightning app configurations.
- Manage sandbox environments, release cycles, change sets, and deployments following DevOps best practices.
- Oversee data management: imports, deduplication, archival, and data quality monitoring.
- Administer AppExchange packages, managed/unmanaged packages, and third-party integrations.
- Provide tier-2/3 support for Salesforce issues; manage a case queue and maintain SLAs.
CPQ / Quote-to-Cash:
- Own end-to-end Salesforce CPQ (or Revenue Cloud) administration - product catalogue, price books, pricing rules, discount schedules, bundles, and quote templates.
- Configure complex CPQ approval workflows, advanced approval chains, and guided selling flows.
- Build and optimise quote line editor configurations, product selection filters, and dynamic pricing models (subscriptions, one-time, usage-based).
- Manage quote document generation, including advanced merge fields, custom templates, and e-signature integrations (DocuSign, Adobe Sign).
- Ensure CPQ integration with billing systems (Salesforce Billing, Zuora, Chargebee, or ERP) and downstream finance processes.
- Conduct regular CPQ performance tuning — optimise load times, reduce calculation bottlenecks, resolve pricing/discount rule conflicts.
- Support Sales and Deal Desk by troubleshooting quoting issues, onboarding new products/SKUs, and maintaining pricing accuracy.
Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick/Revenue Cloud) in production.
- Experience implementing or managing at least one Salesforce AI feature (Einstein, Agentforce, Prompt Builder, Data Cloud).
- Bachelor's degree in IS, CS, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills:
- Expert Salesforce administration: Flows (Screen, Record-Triggered, Autolaunched), custom metadata, dynamic forms, Lightning App Builder, advanced reporting.
- Deep CPQ expertise: product rules, price rules, quote templates, guided selling, approval workflows, multi-currency, advanced calculator, bundles.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, relationships, and schema design best practices.
- Proficiency with integration patterns - REST/SOAP APIs, middleware (MuleSoft, Workato), Platform Events, Change Data Capture.
- Working knowledge of Apex (read, debug, write basic triggers/classes) and SOQL for queries and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (Copado, Gearset, or SFDX/SF CLI).
- Familiarity with Einstein features and the Agentforce platform (Agent Builder, Prompt Builder, Data Cloud).
