  • Raise, manage and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Monitor contractor performance against approved Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Review and verify Quality Inspection Records prior to works being covered up or handed over.
  • Liaise closely with construction management teams, quality teams and contractors to ensure issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

  • Promote a strong quality and nuclear safety culture across the project.
  • Ensure design changes are not implemented in the field without appropriate review, approval and formal change control processes.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Welding qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience.
  • CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification (essential).
  • PCN Level 2 (or equivalent) NDT qualifications. Ideally covering one surface and one volumetric NDT method.

  • Experience reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Plans and quality documentation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within large construction teams and complex project environments.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to produce accurate inspection records and site documentation.

  • Knowledge of RCC-M, BS EN and ASME standards.
  • Understanding of pressure systems fabrication and installation.
  • Experience in quality management systems and quality assurance processes.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an inspector with a proactive approach to quality assurance and construction surveillance, who can confidently challenge standards where necessary while maintaining positive working relationships with contractors and project teams.
