Senior Microsoft .NET Developer

Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Microsoft .NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications using .NET, C#, SQL Server, HTML, React, and Microsoft Azure

Join a provincial public sector engagement delivering business-critical .NET web applications with direct impact across multiple in-house initiatives. This role contributes to solution design, development, testing, and maintenance leveraging C#, SQL Server, HTML, React, and Microsoft Azure. The contract runs from December 2026 through March 31, 2027, with a hybrid model based in Winnipeg and core hours between 7:00am–5:00pm CDT.

Must Haves

• 5+ years developing .NET web applications with C# and SQL Server
• 2+ years with HTML and React
• Microsoft Azure knowledge
• Recognized degree or diploma in an IT-related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience

Nice to Have

• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Knowledge of ITIL process and/or SOA principles

Responsibilities

• Apply the systems development methodology and standards to deliver solution design, development, testing, and implementation
• Propose and assess solutions to fit business needs and identify gaps and workarounds
• Analyze program failures and document investigation results, including causes and resolutions
• Translate business requirements and conceptual designs into software component specifications
• Develop software according to specifications to meet business needs
• Test development and document results
• Train end users to operate new or modified programs
