About Our Family

We are a warm, busy, and close-knit family of three who recently returned to Lake Elmo after a year living in Texas and are in the process of making this house truly feel like home. Both adults work full-time from home, often with back-to-back calls and meetings from morning through afternoon. Our daughter is a bright, independent young teen that thrives with consistency and calm in her space. Our household also includes two beloved pets: an elder Chiweenie and a young cat who both bring a lot of life to the space.

We’re community-minded, relational, and laid-back, with a strong work ethic and a lot of heart for hosting. We’re intentional about bringing people together and celebrating those we care about, and we want our home to feel organized, welcoming, and comfortable-even when life is moving fast.

The right person will feel less like hired help and more like a trusted partner in keeping this household humming.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are:

  • A natural self-starter: You walk into a home, notice what needs attention, and get to work-without needing to be told twice.
  • Proactive, creative, and organized: You spot opportunities to improve a system and take the initiative to make it happen.
  • Ready to tackle a little of everything: Restocking the pantry, designing a closet system, sourcing the perfect gift basket, or getting the guest bathroom ready for company.
  • Comfortable working independently: You’re happy listening to a podcast or audiobook and won’t be thrown off by a Zoom call down the hall.
  • A clear, proactive communicator: You keep the family informed about your schedule and give plenty of notice when something needs to shift.
  • Sensitive and emotionally intelligent: You pick up on individual needs, adapt naturally, and know when to be present and when to give space.
  • Respectful of personal spaces: You’re especially thoughtful about the belongings and boundaries of teens in the home.
  • Creative and hospitality-minded: You enjoy thoughtful details-from beautiful gift baskets to themed dinners-that make people feel genuinely welcomed.
  • Someone who brings ideas, not just execution.
