About the Role
We are looking for a Tech Lead who is a strong hands-on engineer, an effective technical leader, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
What You'll Do
- Make sound decisions around architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Remain deeply hands-on with the codebase and contribute to critical product initiatives.
- Take ownership of technically challenging and business-critical projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and help them grow technically.
- Take end-to-end ownership of projects from requirement understanding through design, development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Build systems and processes from the ground up rather than relying on established enterprise processes.
- Be comfortable wearing multiple hats and solving problems beyond a defined job description.
Must Have
- 6-8 years of software engineering experience, with significant hands-on development experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a technical leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of DSA, OOP, databases, APIs, distributed systems, system design, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Strong hands-on experience building and shipping production-grade applications.
- Proven experience owning architecture and technical decisions for products or large engineering initiatives.
- Strong experience with backend and frontend development, with the ability to understand and contribute across the stack.
- Strong understanding of engineering quality, testing, security, scalability, and performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong startup experience or demonstrated ability to operate in a startup-like environment.
