About the team
The Global Brand & Creative team within Marketing is responsible for bringing the Salesforce brand to life across our full portfolio of marketing and creative work. From building global brand and demand generation campaigns to creating experiences like Dreamforce, our multidisciplinary team of designers, copywriters, strategists, producers, project managers, and creative leaders partners across the organization to deliver impactful, brand-defining work.
The Integrated Campaigns Creative team translates Salesforce’s products, technology, and customer moments into compelling cross-channel creative experiences and stories.
About the role
As Creative Lead/Copywriter, Integrated Campaigns Creative, you will support creative development for Salesforce’s Small and Medium Business (SMB) marketing, serving as a key creative partner to Product Marketing (PMM) and the broader teams responsible for engaging and growing our small and medium business audiences.
You will operate as a hands-on manager, developing a multidisciplinary team of designers and copywriters while remaining actively engaged in the work. This role is for someone with a copy/narrative background but who is also comfortable directing visual design. You should also be able to move fluidly between developing copy, concepting ideas, and partnering with designers to shape how those ideas come to life visually.
You and your team will translate SMB business priorities, product strategies, customer needs, and narratives into compelling cross-channel creative, including digital experiences, demand generation campaigns, events, content, social, and integrated marketing initiatives.
This role requires people leadership, creative thinking, and hands-on craft. You are a strong writer who also thinks visually, with the creative judgment to provide clear direction and feedback across both copy and design.
You will build a close working relationship with SMB Product Marketing and Marketing teams, helping translate business and product priorities into compelling creative work, while partnering with Creative leadership and Creative Operations to manage priorities and workload.
You will also partner with internal teams and external agency partners supporting SMB initiatives, providing clear creative feedback and helping ensure work is cohesive, effective, and representative of the Salesforce brand.
As our creative organization continues to evolve how we work, you will help your team leverage emerging AI tools and workflows to accelerate exploration, increase creative capacity, and unlock new possibilities for storytelling and execution. You should be comfortable experimenting with generative AI tools and incorporating them thoughtfully into your own creative practice while helping your team do the same.
This is a collaborative, hands-on creative role for someone who enjoys developing people while staying close to the work-writing, concepting, providing visual direction, partnering with SMB Marketing, and helping turn complex product and customer stories into clear, relevant creative experiences for small and medium businesses.
What you will do
Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of creatives, providing day-to-day coaching, feedback, creative guidance, and support.
Partner closely with SMB Product Marketing and Marketing teams to understand product, audience, and business priorities and translate them into effective creative work.
Contribute directly to creative development across priority SMB work, balancing team management with hands-on writing, concepting, and creative problem-solving.
Write and develop campaign concepts, headlines, messaging, scripts, narratives, product stories, and other creative across channels.
Concept and develop integrated creative ideas alongside designers and copywriters, helping teams connect the verbal and visual sides of an idea.
Bring a strong visual point of view to the work, partnering closely with designers to shape concepts, imagery, layouts, and other visual elements and providing clear, actionable feedback that strengthens the final creative.
Help ensure copy and design work together as a cohesive creative idea across channels and touchpoints.
Support creative development across SMB marketing initiatives, including demand generation campaigns, digital and social content, product storytelling, events and experiences, and other integrated marketing initiatives.
Contribute to digital and cross-channel creative, partnering with the appropriate creative leads to deliver compelling experiences across web, social, events, campaigns, and emerging platforms.
Partner closely with PMM and cross-functional marketing teams to understand business objectives, product narratives, audiences, and priorities and translate them into clear creative opportunities and actionable direction for the team.
Partner with Creative Operations and Creative leadership to prioritize the team's workload, balancing planned initiatives with emerging business needs and focusing resources on the highest-impact work.
Guide day-to-day creative development from brief through execution, ensuring work delivers against marketing objectives while maintaining a high bar for concept, writing, visual craft, storytelling, and brand consistency.
Step directly into high-priority or fast-moving work when needed, helping teams solve creative challenges, develop or refine copy, advance concepts, and maintain momentum.
Collaborate with external agencies, production partners, and internal creative teams, providing clear feedback and helping ensure work aligns to the established creative direction and Salesforce brand.
Bring thoughtful recommendations and a strong creative perspective to conversations around SMB customer storytelling, product messaging, visual expression, and audience engagement.
Partner with creative leaders across Global Brand & Creative to ensure SMB work aligns with broader Salesforce campaigns, events, brand initiatives, and creative platforms.
Champion the thoughtful adoption of generative AI within the creative process, identifying opportunities to accelerate ideation, prototyping, production, and experimentation.
Work effectively across SMB Marketing, Creative, Operations, Production Studios, agencies, and other partners to help teams move work forward efficiently and collaboratively.
Present creative concepts and recommendations clearly, articulating the thinking behind the work and incorporating feedback from Creative leadership and stakeholders.
Foster an environment of creative ambition, experimentation, collaboration, and continuous learning while helping the team consistently deliver high-quality work.
What experience you have
BA or BFA in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Writing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
8+ years of experience in copywriting, creative development, or a related creative discipline within an agency or in-house creative organization; experience with B2B, technology, or small and medium business audiences is a plus.
Experience managing, mentoring, or developing creative talent, with demonstrated ability to provide effective feedback and support the growth of designers and copywriters.
A strong creative portfolio demonstrating exceptional writing, conceptual thinking, and a strong visual sensibility across integrated campaigns and multiple channels.
Strong hands-on copywriting experience, with the ability to personally develop campaign concepts, headlines, messaging, scripts, narratives, product stories, and other creative.
A strong visual point of view and understanding of design fundamentals, with experience partnering closely with designers and providing thoughtful, actionable feedback that improves the work.
Strong instincts for how words and visuals work together to create a cohesive creative idea.
Demonstrated ability to move comfortably between managing people and contributing directly to the work, stepping into concept development, writing, creative feedback, and problem-solving when needed.
Proven experience building strong partnerships with Product Marketing, integrated marketing, or other cross-functional stakeholders and translating business and product strategies into effective creative work.
Strong understanding of visual design, copy, storytelling, and integrated marketing execution across multiple channels and formats.
Experience developing product-focused and integrated marketing creative across campaigns, demand generation, digital, content, video, social, experiential, and events.
Strong understanding of how to translate complex product capabilities into clear, approachable, audience-relevant creative and compelling customer stories.
An understanding of how to communicate with small and medium business audiences is a plus-including the ability to make complex technology feel relevant, useful, and accessible to businesses with different needs, levels of sophistication, and stages of growth.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, work within established priorities, and maintain creative quality in a fast-moving organization.
Experience collaborating with external agencies, production partners, and internal creative teams, including providing clear feedback and maintaining consistency across distributed work.
Strong presentation and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present creative concepts and rationale clearly to partners and stakeholders.
Familiarity with generative AI and emerging creative technologies, such as Gemini, Claude, and Nano Banana, and an understanding of how they can be applied throughout the creative process.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, collaborate across multiple stakeholders, and seek alignment and guidance when needed.
