Business Development Manager – Digital Payments

We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive adoption and sales of innovative digital payment solutions, including digital checkout, tokenisation, and authentication products.
Working within a collaborative, technology-focused environment, you’ll be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing merchant relationships, and growing product adoption across the payments ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities Identify, prospect, and qualify new merchant opportunities.
Generate leads and manage opportunities through the entire sales pipeline.
Build relationships with merchants, retailers, payment providers, and key industry stakeholders.
Drive opportunities from initial engagement through to contract execution.
Support existing clients to maximise adoption of digital payment solutions.
Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and sales metrics.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver commercial and technical solutions. About You 5+ years’ experience in Business Development or Sales, ideally within payments, fintech, or financial services.
Experience working with merchants, retailers, acquirers, or payment service providers.
Strong understanding of digital payments and payment technologies.
Proven ability to build senior stakeholder relationships and influence decision-makers.
Technical pre-sales experience is highly regarded.
Strong communication, presentation, and commercial negotiation skills.
Existing Sydney market relationships are an advantage. What’s on Offer? Initial 3-month contract with potential to extend.
