The Underground Drilling Technical Services team has an excellent opportunity for a Product Specialist to ensure our customers receive world-class support globally. As our intelligent drilling equipment fleet is growing, we are looking for new talent to join our technical support team. This position is permanent, full-time, and based at our global technology and manufacturing center for drilling equipment in Tampere, Finland.

Your mission - technically skilled, customer service-minded expert

You will be part of the Underground Drilling Technical Support team and work in close collaboration with our frontline teams around the world, the training team, R&D and product management. Your duties include:

  • Commissioning intelligent underground drilling equipment and following up on equipment performance throughout its lifetime
  • Solving demanding technical issues for our customers and sales areas at customer mine sites
  • Solving demanding technical support tickets remotely on the Salesforce platform
  • Carrying out field service trips in problematic situations where factory level technical knowledge or drilling application operations optimization skills are needed
  • Training technical teams in sales areas and end customers in a digitalized and automated underground mining environment, with a focus on underground drilling equipment
  • Supporting customers in equipment data transfer, connectivity, and network setup issues
  • Developing data-driven capabilities of remote technical support

Your background and what we find important

You will be trained for the job. However, to succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A B.Sc. degree in a relevant technical field, such as automation or electrical engineering, is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with modern technology applications, e.g. control system technologies and digital data solutions in customer service
  • Proficiency in maintaining mobile equipment
  • Customer service attitude
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Reporting skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently internationally

We expect you to have an energetic, innovative, and proactive way of working, combined with good communication and collaboration skills. Experience in the heavy machinery industry and/or mining or tunneling environment is considered a strong advantage. As we operate in a multicultural and international setting, you communicate fluently in English; other languages are considered a benefit.

Employees regularly working in mines must successfully complete a specific health examination before an employment contract is offered.
