  • Repair Coordination & Strategy: Liaise with workshop foremen to determine the appropriate repair pathway (internal vs. external vendor repair).
  • Requisitioning & Approval Tracking: Create repair requisitions in SAP and actively follow up with relevant approvers to resolve outstanding approvals timeously.
  • Status & Work Order Management: Ensure repair work order revision statuses accurately reflect where each spare is within the repair cycle, maintaining alignment between physical stock and SAP records across workshops and vendor locations.
  • Stock Control & Lifecycle Management: Action Scrappings and New Installation Advice (NIA) timeously to ensure mill units maintain sufficient materials per MRP rules, managing rotable material stocks, equipment numbers, and master data accuracy.
  • Operational Support & Stock Counts: Manage internal/external customer queries, perform standby duties when required, and participate in annual machine rolls stock counts.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably within an Engineering or Heavy Industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP MM/PM modules) for managing MRP, inventory master data, and work orders.
  • Familiarity with rotable spares, workshop repair processes, and inventory control practices.

What’s in it for you?

  • Opportunity to work within a global organisation that continues to thrive in a rapidly changing world even after 80 years of existence.
  • Learning and development programmes to fast-track your career within Sappi.
  • Opportunities to travel.

  • Employee wellbeing benefits.
