Estimation Engineer- Mechanical

• Review project specifications, engineering drawings, and technical documents to understand project requirements.    

• Conduct detailed take-offs and quantify the amount of steel needed for fabrication based on project plans.    

• Estimate material costs, including steel plates, beams, pipes, and other components, by sourcing prices from suppliers and vendors.    

• Analyze fabrication processes, labor requirements, and production schedules to determine the cost of manufacturing steel structures & Static equipment.    

• Collaborate with fabrication teams, engineers, and project managers to develop accurate cost estimates and pricing proposals.    

• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing for outsourced fabrication services.    

• Prepare detailed Cost Estimation & Techno-Commercial offers for Steel -Structures, Pressure Vessels, Shop tanks, Site Erected tanks, Piping Works, and any other types of Steel Products.    

• Participate in pre-bid meetings, and client presentations to discuss project requirements and cost estimates.    

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering field.    

• Previous experience in the steel fabrication industry is required, with hands-on exposure to fabrication processes, shop drawings, material take-offs (MTO), production, and quality requirements. 

• Previous experience in Cost Estimation/Cost Control for Steel fabricated products.    

• Good knowledge of the Saudi market, particularly Saudi Aramco requirements. 

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.   

• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.    

• Very good English. 

• Self-motivated and detailed oriented.
