MID-LEVEL GRAPHIC DESIGNER - POP / 3D & MULTIMEDIA

CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To conceptualise, design and adapt Point of Purchase (POP), retail and promotional solutions according to client specifications, ensuring creative briefs are accurately interpreted and translated into visually compelling, structurally sound and production-ready designs.

The role requires a creative designer with a strong understanding of 3D, multimedia, print and physical/structural design, who can work closely with Account Management, Creative and Production teams to deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Conceptualise and develop creative design solutions for a range of POP, POS, retail and promotional products.

• Interpret and execute creative briefs provided by the Account Executive, ensuring all client requirements are accurately met.

• Translate creative concepts into structurally sound, visually appealing and production-ready designs.

• Develop and adapt 2D and 3D concepts for physical marketing and retail environments.

• Assist with the development of 3D visualisations, renders and multimedia concepts for client presentations.

• Prepare artwork and design files for production, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to required specifications.

• Apply an understanding of materials, substrates, manufacturing processes and production technologies when developing designs.

• Collaborate with Production teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and achievable from a manufacturing perspective.

• Review prototypes, samples and finished artwork to ensure designs meet approved concepts and quality standards.

• Make required amendments and adaptations based on client or production feedback.

• Maintain organised design files, including appropriate file naming, archiving and system housekeeping.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting agreed deadlines and quality standards.

• Work collaboratively with Account Executives, Creative, Production and other internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas and solutions.

• Stay informed of relevant design, production, retail and POP trends and technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Multimedia, 3D Design, Visual Communication or a related field.

• 2-4 years' relevant experience in graphic design, multimedia, POP, POS, retail, exhibition or related design environments.

• Proven experience in 3D, multimedia and/or Point of Purchase (POP) design.

• Strong conceptual and creative design ability.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

• Experience with relevant 3D design/rendering software would be advantageous.

• Understanding of artwork preparation and production processes.

• Understanding of physical/structural design and how creative concepts translate into manufactured products.

• Experience working within a fast-paced agency, design studio, production or POP environment would be advantageous.

• Proficiency in Apple Mac.
