Job Description/Responsibilities
Join Barton 1792 Distillery as a Receiving Supervisor and lead a team responsible for ensuring critical production materials are received, verified, and available to support bottling operations. This role combines team leadership, inventory management, and operational planning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives on organization, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop receiving department team members to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material handling and inventory processes.
- Oversee the receipt, verification, unloading, and routing of production materials, including bottles, labels, closures, adhesives, and maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate inventory management activities to support uninterrupted bottling operations and maintain accurate system records.
- Monitor department performance, prepare operational reports, and partner with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues and drive efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, food safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a positive team culture.
Schedule: AWS Days (7am-7pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Qualifications/Requirements
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
Preferred
- Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement practices, and manufacturing best practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with regular walking, standing, and movement throughout the facility.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to inspect inventory, operate office equipment, and work around material handling equipment as required.
