Scaleway is a European cloud provider offering compute instances, bare-metal servers, GPU clusters for AI, Kubernetes, object storage, managed databases and serverless services, operated from its own data centres in France, the Netherlands and Poland. It is a subsidiary of the French telecoms group iliad and grew out of the hosting business Online, founded in 1999. The company is headquartered in Paris, France.

WHY WE NEED YOU ?

As Scaleway continues to grow, we need to strengthen our Operations team with dedicated expertise in Demand Forecasting and Capacity Planning to anticipate the demand for our cloud infrastructure and support our growth.

Your mission will be to build, own, and continuously improve consumption forecasts for our Compute, Storage, and GPU offerings, turning historical data, commercial pipeline, and product insights into reliable demand projections. You will help us make better capacity decisions, challenge assumptions with data, and establish a robust forecasting process across the company.

YOUR FUTURE TEAM

You will join Scaleway's Operations team at a pivotal moment in its development. Until now, forecasting responsibilities have been shared across several teams. We are creating this role to establish clear ownership of demand forecasts while maintaining shared accountability with Product and Sales teams.

You will collaborate closely with our Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and AI Tooling teams, reporting directly to Albane Bruyas.

This is an opportunity to shape a key operational capability in a fast-growing cloud environment, combining industrial forecasting challenges with the complexity of modern cloud infrastructure.

YOUR DAILY ROUTINE

  • Build and maintain demand forecasts for Scaleway's Compute, Storage, and GPU offerings, leveraging historical trends, commercial pipeline, and Product team inputs.

  • Translate demand forecasts into capacity planning requirements to support infrastructure sizing and operational decisions.

  • Develop and continuously improve forecasting models, taking into account seasonality, customer signals, product developments, and exceptional events.

  • Challenge assumptions from Product and Sales teams using statistical analysis, historical data, and market insights to establish a reliable, shared forecast.

  • Detect changes in demand patterns, assess their impact, and adjust forecasts as new information becomes available.

  • Present forecasts, scenarios, assumptions, and associated risks during S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) reviews.

  • Collaborate with Data and AI Tooling teams to leverage the analytical capabilities and tools developed internally to improve forecasting performance.

  • Structure and refine forecasting processes, ensuring continuous improvement without removing accountability from the teams contributing to the forecast.

ABOUT YOU

HARDSKILLS:

  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience in demand planning, sales forecasting, industrial forecasting, or a related field.

  • Proven experience building and managing forecasts end to end in an industrial or technology environment with complex products.

  • Strong analytical skills, demand and capacity planning, and improving model accuracy using historical data and analytical tools such as SQL or Python,

  • Familiarity with reporting and collaboration tools such as Metabase, Grafana, and Jira is an advantage.

  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate forecasts, assumptions, and risks clearly to international stakeholders.

SOFT SKILLS:
