Looking for a tree change without sacrificing your career?
Imagine swapping traffic, packed trains and long commutes for fresh mountain air, world-class views and a role where your work has a visible impact every day.
At Scenic World, we are searching for an experienced Project Manager to join our Evolve Management team, working onsite in the heart of the Blue Mountains. This is an opportunity to lead meaningful projects while helping shape the next chapter of an iconic business that has been evolving, innovating and creating unforgettable experiences for more than 80 years
Whether you are ready for a true tree change, keen to reclaim hours lost to commuting, or looking for a role where no two projects are the same, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
Why this role is different
This isn't a project management role where you will spend years delivering the same type of project.
You will work across the organisation, partnering with leaders from Operations, Engineering, IT, Marketing, Finance and People Experience to deliver a diverse portfolio of initiatives that support Scenic World's continued evolution.
From group-wide projects that connect experiences across some of Australia's most iconic tourism attractions, through to guest experience enhancements, technology upgrades, infrastructure improvements, operational initiatives and safety-focused projects, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects that are varied, meaningful and highly visible across the business.
One month you may be coordinating stakeholders across multiple businesses, the next collaborating with engineers, marketing or operational teams to deliver projects that directly enhance the experience of our guests and team members. No two years, and often no two months, look the same.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Evolve Management, you will lead the structured delivery of strategic and operational initiatives across the business, ensuring projects are clearly defined, effectively governed and successfully implemented.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing projects from initiation through to implementation and handover
- Developing project plans, timelines, budgets and success measures
- Facilitating collaboration across teams and departments to achieve project outcomes
- Managing risk, governance, stakeholder engagement and reporting activities
- Supporting change management activities to ensure successful project adoption
- Identifying opportunities to improve project delivery practices across the organisation
- Embedding sustainable outcomes that continue delivering value beyond project completion
