The company offers an extensive portfolio of connected hardware, software, and services designed to optimize efficiency across homes, buildings, data centers, and industrial infrastructure. Through digital transformation and smart grid technologies, the organization helps businesses and consumers achieve sustainable, reliable, and energy-efficient operations worldwide.

As a Software Developer at Schneider Electric, you will design and develop robust applications that meet user needs and enhance operational efficiency. You will work directly with customers to understand their requirements, then take ownership of the solution from end to end: architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and handover.

You will work as part of a global, cross-functional team, collaborating with colleagues around the world to build, enhance, and maintain high-quality software. You will implement application features alongside your teammates, take part in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards, and keep clear documentation of application design, functionality, and processes.

As a technical specialist in application development, you will apply foundational knowledge of application engineering to deliver results, solve routine technical problems, and contribute to new technologies. You will work independently with general guidance, within defined parameters for quality, priorities, timing, and compliance. Your work will deliver reliable, efficient applications that streamline processes and improve productivity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clarify business and technical requirements.
  • Architect and design complete software solutions from A to Z, including the choice of programming languages, databases, frameworks, and cloud platforms.
  • Design scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Implement application features based on requirements, working alongside team members to deliver high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and quality.
  • Test, deploy, and release solutions, ensuring reliability, performance, and data quality.
  • Lead or support handover meetings, ensuring customers and support teams are fully equipped to use and maintain the delivered solution.
  • Deliver sprint outputs on time, applying Agile methodologies to ensure iterative development and continuous value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and globally distributed teams to resolve issues and deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Create and maintain documentation for application design, functionality, and processes.
  • Act as a technical problem-solver, proposing optimizations and enhancements that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, quality standards, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Strong software engineering expertise, with the ability to design complete software solutions, including programming languages, databases, and system architecture.
  • Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and how work flows in software companies, from requirements and design through development, testing, release, and support.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, sprint planning, and iterative delivery).
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into logical technical solutions.
  • Experience with version control, code reviews, and testing practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural, international teams.
  • Ability to manage time, meet sprint deadlines, and work independently with general guidance.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Motivated, eager to learn, and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
