Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our expanding Accounting team based in our Barcelona hub. This role will support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting function while contributing to continuous improvement across all departmental processes.
What You’ll Do
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
- Record general ledger entries in compliance with local and group accounting policies
- Assist with the month-end close and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
- Reconcile intercompany transactions
- Maintain the fixed assets register, including asset postings and monthly depreciation
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable, Procurement and T&E teams on reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
- Assist in the preparation and review of VAT returns
- Provide support during external and internal audits
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business units with financial and accounting insights
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives and help with ad-hoc projects
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of experience in general accounting
- Prior experience in international environments, preferably across multiple entities
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Experience working with ERP systems; Oracle ERP experience
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- A team-oriented mindset with a focus on shared goals
Nice to Have
- Background in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
- Knowledge of Spanish and/or European tax regulations
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Power Query, Power BI)
- Experience working in a shared service center or centralized accounting function
