Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud-native microservices using C# and .NET.
  • Develop and optimise production MongoDB usage, including document modeling, indexing, aggregation pipelines, and query performance tuning.
  • Build and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
  • Design and implement REST APIs within a broader distributed systems architecture.
  • Deploy and manage services on Microsoft Azure using containers and Docker.
  • Own CI/CD pipelines, automated testing practices, and observability tooling.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, taking responsibility for system reliability.
  • Apply engineering rigour appropriate to enterprise SaaS, banking, mortgage, fintech, or other regulated-industry contexts.

Experience and education

  • Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET, and cloud-native microservices.
  • Proven production experience with MongoDB, including modeling, indexing, and query optimisation.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design within distributed systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and containerisation (Docker).
  • Practical experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and observability practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents.
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS, banking, mortgage, fintech, or other regulated industries strongly preferred.
