We are now looking for a motivated and technically skilled software engineer to join our Amplifier group. The Amplifier group is responsible for a SaaS offering called Amplifier Services, a fully managed service allowing Sectra PACS customers to easily access AI applications for clinical use. Our service offering consists of a combination of our own software products (Amplifier Platform and Connector Proxy) combined with Sectra's other products and services and the use of Azure for deployment. Through our service, we are part of an ongoing revolution within healthcare, where AI goes from being a pipe dream to a clinical reality making a difference for both patients and healthcare providers.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality services and applications used in medical imaging workflows.
• Apply AI tools (e.g., code assistants, code generators) responsibly to increase velocity without compromising quality, security, or cost.
• Collaborate with product management, operations, clinicians and end-users, to translate clinical needs into robust solutions.
• Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, observability, documentation, and deployment.
• Implement and uphold strong engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, performance profiling, etc.
• Work with medical imaging standards and infrastructure (e.g., DICOM, HL7/FHIR, PACS/VNA, cloud services).
• Continuously learn: evaluate new tools, frameworks, and AI capabilities; share knowledge across the team.

Location

This role is based at our headquarters in Linköping.

What you bring

• Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures/algorithms, concurrency, networking, API design, software architecture.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages for software development (e.g., C# or Python) and modern software engineering tooling.
• Quality mindset: automated testing, observability (metrics/logs/traces), and performance awareness.
• Security and privacy literacy (secure coding, handling sensitive data).
• Curiosity and learning agility; ability to adapt to new domains, tools, and AI workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, product-oriented approach.
• Required: Humor and strong academic record from university and upper secondary school; please include transcripts or grade summaries in your application.
• Required: Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud services, containers, and CI/CD (AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes or serverless).
• Experience in medical imaging or healthcare IT (DICOM, HL7/FHIR, imaging pipelines, PACS/VNA).
• Infrastructure and reliability skills (SRE practices, performance engineering, cost).
• Pursue passions outside of work, whether in sports, music, the arts, or unique hobbies.
• Experience from different cultures.
