SECURITY GUARD - PART TIME OVERNIGHT SHIFTS - Saturdays and Sundays (16 hours a week)

Location: CALGARY

We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Part-Time Overnight Security Guard in Calgary Area.

* Must have reliable transportation - No transit available.

* Must be available for the schedule listed below

Shift Opportunity:

• SATURDAY and SUNDAY from 0100 to 0900
• Pay rate: $16.25 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, its assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized people.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client's property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Use computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic training.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid provincial Security Guard License
• Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
• Reliable means of transportation
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
• Capable of using visitor management systems.
• Basic computer skills such as the ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Able to walk, stand, and conduct patrols.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset.
