About the Role
Customer Engineers are the technical owners of customer relationships after the Proof of
Concept, partnering with enterprise customers to turn successful evaluations into long-term
business outcomes by driving production adoption, expanding platform capabilities, and serving
as trusted technical advisors. As the technical authority for their accounts, they bridge business
objectives and engineering execution, translating requirements into scalable solutions aligned
with Selector AI's architectural best practices, and work closely with Customer Success
Managers, Product, Engineering, and Forward Deployed Engineering to guide customers from
rollout through continuous adoption and expansion.
What You'll Do
- Own technical success: serve as the primary technical advisor from POC through
production, adoption, and expansion; build trusted relationships with customer architects,
engineering leaders, and executives; run technical success plans that accelerate
adoption and surface new use cases.
- Lead technical strategy & execution: own the technical architecture for assigned
accounts, minimizing technical debt; translate business requirements into detailed
technical specs and engineering-ready work items; lead architecture reviews,
workshops, onboarding, and complex production troubleshooting across networking,
observability, integrations, APIs, and AI-driven workflows.
- Drive cross-functional outcomes: partner with CSMs, Sales, Solutions Engineering,
Product, and Engineering to align technical execution with business objectives; act as
the customer's technical advocate on product feedback and roadmap priorities.
Qualifications Required
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Customer Engineering, Professional
Services, or Network Engineering).
- Deep expertise in enterprise networking: BGP, MPLS, IGPs, Traffic Engineering,
SD-WAN, Wireless, SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/sFlow/IPFIX, telemetry (gNMI/OpenConfig),
and REST APIs.
- Experience deploying or supporting enterprise observability, AIOps, network
management, or infrastructure monitoring platforms; demonstrated success with Fortune
500 / large enterprise customers.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, and modern infrastructure architecture;
experience translating business requirements into technical designs and implementation
plans.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills; willing to travel 10-20% for
customer engagements and strategic onsite meetings.
Preferred
- Kubernetes, containers, cloud-native infrastructure, or SaaS platforms; Python, JSON,
YAML, or infrastructure automation; AIOps/ML in IT Operations; ITSM platforms such as
ServiceNow.

Compensation
The salary for this role is $175,000 - $200,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience and job location, and may vary from the amount listed.
