Machine Shop Supervisor

General Responsibilities

• Supervise daily machining operations to meet production schedules.

• Ensure compliance with safety and aerospace quality requirements.
• Assign and monitor work for machinists and CNC operators.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve production issues.
• Drive improvements in productivity, cycle time, scrap, and machine utilization.
• Ensure machining operations for metal components Experience / Qualifications • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience. • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members • Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.
• Knowledge in CNC Milling Machine, CNC Lathe (HAAS), CNC Lathe OMNI Machine Marca OMNI and Swiss type CNC Lathe (Tsugami).
