Job Summary :

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in C++ with Infoscale with Linux kernel development, kernel crash analysis, enterprise storage systems, and volume management. The ideal candidate should have excellent C/C++ programming skills and hands-on experience debugging kernel panics, analyzing vmcore dumps, and fixing complex bugs in kernel, storage, and volume management components. Experience with porting and supporting solutions across RHEL 8.x to 9.x kernel changes is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain Linux kernel, storage, and volume management components.

- Investigate kernel panics, OOPS, system hangs, and crash dumps.

- Perform root cause analysis and implement bug fixes.

- Debug and optimize storage I/O path, file system, and volume manager issues.

- Port and validate kernel-dependent code across RHEL 8.x and RHEL 9.x.

- Work on kernel modules, device drivers, and Linux internals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues.

- Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.

Required Skills:

- Strong C/C++ systems programming.

- Linux Kernel Development.

- Infoscale.

- Linux Internals (memory management, scheduling, synchronization).

- Kernel Crash Analysis (kernel panic, OOPS, vmcore).

- Kernel Debugging and Bug Fixing.

- Kernel Porting across RHEL 8.x to RHEL 9.x.

- Understanding of critical kernel API and subsystem changes between RHEL 8.x and 9.x.

- Debugging tools: crash, KGDB, GDB, perf, ftrace.

- Storage Systems and Storage I/O Path.

- Volume Management (LVM, Veritas Volume Manager / VxVM).

- File Systems: EXT4, XFS, NFS, Veritas File System (VxFS).

- Root Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting.
