Mid/Senior Software Engineer – Node.js, React, Go, AWS, Kubernetes

Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor in designing, developing, and deploying top-tier systems. You will primarily use Node.js, React, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes to build robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Although this is not a DevOps role, familiarity with CI/CD processes will be beneficial. You will work closely with a diverse, multinational team, serving as both a technical expert and occasional team leader for small project groups.

Key Responsibilities:
* Software Development & Maintenance: Develop and maintain software solutions using Node.js, React, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes.
* Feature Design & Implementation: Design and implement features, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance.
* Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Product, QA, etc.) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
* Team Leadership: Occasionally run small teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with stakeholders and clients, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
* Project Planning & Architectural Discussions: Contribute to project planning and architectural discussions.

Additional Responsibilities:
* Data Cross-Border Management: Develop infrastructure, technologies, and logic for managing data exchange between Europe and China while complying with Chinese regulations.
* Regulatory Compliance: Provide technical support to ensure compliance with the China Cybersecurity Law (CSL) and Data Security Law (DSL).
* MLPS Certification: Assist in obtaining and maintaining MLPS certification.
* ICP Record Management: Support the obtaining, management, and maintenance of ICP Records.
* OTA Updates: Define and implement technical architecture for vehicle OTA updates.
* Geo-Data Management: Develop infrastructure and technologies for managing geo-data on cloud platforms, including backend component development and integration with local providers.
* MQTT Integration: Integrate MQTT for real-time telemetry data from vehicles while ensuring compliance with Chinese regulations.
* Video Management: Implement logic for managing videos on the backend platform, ensuring compliance with regulations related to obfuscation and anonymization.


Qualifications and Skills:
1. Technical Skills:
* Solid experience in Node.js, React, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes.
* Understanding of modern software architecture, microservices, and cloud-native development.
* Plus: Exposure to “Connected Vehicle” environments and the automotive software tech stack.
2. Communication & Leadership:
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable working in a multinational and multicultural environment.
* Proven track record as a self-starter and ability to stay organized under dynamic project requirements.
* Experience of managing small teams or mentoring junior developers.
3. Additional Requirements:
* Located in or willing to relocate to Shanghai (on-site work primarily).
* Strong problem-solving skills, able to adapt to rapid changes in project scope.
* Passion for automotive technology and eagerness to stay abreast of industry trends.
