Shiji Japan is looking for new team members to support the implementation and ongoing operation of our hospitality POS solution, Infrasys POS, used by hotels and restaurants.
We are currently hiring for the following two positions:
1. POS Implementation Consultant
You will work on implementation projects for new hotel openings and existing hotels introducing or replacing their POS system, supporting customers from initial preparation through successful go-live.
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding hotel and restaurant operational requirements through customer discussions
- Configuring Infrasys POS based on customer operations and business requirements
- Supporting configuration of POS terminals, printers, tablets, and other peripheral devices
- Coordinating integrations with PMS, payment systems, and other third-party systems
- Delivering system training to hotel and restaurant users
- Supporting system testing, implementation preparation, and go-live
- Providing post-implementation follow-up
- Coordinating with internal and external project stakeholders
Domestic travel within Japan is required depending on project schedules, particularly during implementation and go-live periods.
2. POS Support Specialist
You will support hotels and restaurants that are already using Infrasys POS by responding to inquiries and helping resolve operational and technical issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to customer inquiries
- Troubleshooting POS system issues
- Providing guidance on system configuration and operation
- Investigating issues and supporting resolution
- Escalating cases to Product, Development, Global Support, or other teams when necessary
- Providing progress updates and follow-up to customers
- Maintaining internal knowledge and support documentation
Business travel is generally not required for the POS Support Specialist role.

Job Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Native-level Japanese or JLPT N1-equivalent Japanese proficiency
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers in Japanese
- Comfortable working in an international environment where English is used
- Ability and willingness to learn new systems and business processes
- Valid authorization to work in Japan

For the POS Implementation Consultant position:
- Must be able to travel domestically within Japan
Preferred Qualifications
We welcome candidates with experience in any of the following areas:
- Experience working in hotels, restaurants, or the hospitality industry
- Experience in hotel Front Office, F&B, Reservations, Finance, IT, or other operational departments
- Restaurant or F&B operational experience
- Experience using POS systems
- Experience providing staff training in hotels or restaurants
- Customer service or customer support experience
- IT Support, Technical Support, or Help Desk experience
- Experience participating in system implementation or other projects
- Experience working in English
Previous IT industry experience is not required.
