A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Human Resources Trainee in the STEM in Action Program, you will gain practical experience by supporting HR operations and people-related initiatives in Mexico. Depending on the assigned project, your day may include maintaining employee information, preparing onboarding or lifecycle documentation, following up on employee requests, supporting recruiting and university-program activities, organizing reports and trackers, and helping simplify HR processes. You will work with different stakeholders while learning how HR services contribute to an accurate, efficient, and positive employee experience.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Support employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, employee-data updates, transfers, document collection, standard letters, and offboarding.
  • Maintain employee records, trackers, digital files, and HR-system information accurately, on time, and with appropriate confidentiality.
  • Assist with employee and stakeholder inquiries regarding standard HR policies, procedures, services, and programmes, escalating complex cases when needed.
  • Support recruiting and selection activities for early-career profiles, including interview coordination, candidate follow-up, university events, internships, and trainee programmes.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, correspondence, audit support, invoicing follow-up, and other administrative HR materials.
  • Collaborate with HR Services, Talent Acquisition, managers, employees, universities, and other internal or external stakeholders according to the assigned project.
  • Document and map HR processes, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute ideas that enhance data quality, efficiency, digitalisation, and employee experience.
  • Follow applicable data-privacy, confidentiality, governance, and company requirements when handling candidate and employee information.

What You Bring

  • Currently pursuing, close to completing, or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Full-time availability to participate in the trainee programme.
  • Previous professional experience is not required. Internship, academic-project, volunteer, extracurricular, customer-service, administration, recruiting, or data-management exposure is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Exposure to SharePoint, Copilot, HR systems, process mapping, Lean, Agile, or other digital tools is an advantage.
  • English proficiency suitable for collaboration in a multicultural environment. Spanish is required for local interaction, and Portuguese is an advantage for regional support.
  • Clear communication, organisation, attention to detail, confidentiality, teamwork, customer focus, learning agility, problem-solving, and a proactive mindset.
  • Interest in Human Resources, employee experience, talent acquisition, process improvement, technology, and data quality.
