Position Overview

Join the QuestaSim (Simulation) R&D team at Siemens EDA as a Senior Software Engineer and drive innovation in simulation technology. In this role, you'll architect and develop cutting-edge algorithms and software solutions that power industry-leading simulation tools. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of strategic initiatives from conception through delivery. Your technical expertise, problem-solving acumen, and leadership will directly shape the future of electronic design automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions in design and verification tools, establishing architecture patterns and best practices for enterprise-scale deployments
• Build scalable AI platforms leveraging LLMs, Agentic Frameworks, MCP, LangGraph, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technologies
• Develop intelligent agents capable of tool usage, workflow automation, reasoning, planning, and autonomous task execution
• Evaluate and select AI technologies, models, frameworks, and infrastructure to meet product and business objectives
• Architect end-to-end AI systems including data pipelines, model serving, observability, memory management, and deployment strategies
• Collaborate with engineering leaders, product management, and domain experts to transform ideas into production-grade solutions

Required:

• 8+ years of proven industry software engineering experience with at least 5 year in AI/ML focused development
• Demonstrated expertise architecting and delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions from concept to production
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn
• Deep knowledge of LLM-based systems, Agentic AI frameworks, RAG architectures, and vector databases
• Practical experience developing AI agents or copilots that interface with tools or external APIs
• Solid understanding of agentic design patterns and strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, and API design

• Experience with code understanding systems, AST analysis, or developer productivity tools
• Proficiency in C/C++
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD practices
• Background in Digital Design, SystemVerilog, or EDA tools
• Knowledge of compilers, parallelism, or GPU profiling tools
