WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT FOR US

SimCorpis investing in the integration layer ofSimCorpOne. We are looking for a Platform Test Architect toextend our platformcapabilities for automated, repeatable cross-system testing,the crucial layer betweensystemtests and end-to-end flows. Your work will enable product and platform teams tovalidaterelease candidates after the merge gate and qualify deliveries at scale across our service ecosystem.

You will work closely with our Application Test Architect to cover the full testing spectrum.In addition, you will collaborate with architects responsible for platform services, engineering pipelines, and infrastructure to ensure testing capabilities integrate seamlessly into our delivery processes.Yourfocuswill beon platform capabilities and execution, whileour Application Test Architectleadsapplication-side practices and client-facing testing coordination. Togetherwith other architects, you will close today’s gaps andestablishmodern, scalable testing as a first-class engineering concern.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

To ensure success in this role, you will be involved in the following areas:

• Integration testing platform: Design and deliver asharedplatform for integration testing ofSimCorpOne services (Microsoft Azure, Azure Kubernetes Service, .NET), enabling teams to add, run, and automate cross-system tests efficiently and repeatedly.

• Quality gates: Operationalize post-merge quality gates for release candidates, including contract and application programming interface testing, integration suites,sanityand smoke tests, and define the process for exceptions or waivers.

• Drive requirements: Help standardizetesting capabilities in oureco-systemand define how systems can test integration patterns.

• Adoption and enablement: Drive organization-wide adoption through templates, reference implementations, and recommended practices that teams can extend.

• Test data and environments: Define the strategy fortestdata and environments, including synthetic data, data masking, and production-equivalent snapshots, in collaboration withour operations and platform teams.

• Performance and load testing: Lay the groundwork for performance and load testing as a future phase, including tooling choices, service level agreements, and monitoring.

• Documentation and alignment: Document andalignat scale by authoring reference architecture documents, patterns, and playbooks; publishing via the Architecture Hub; and measuring adoption and impact.

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring thatSimCorpremainsan efficient, transparent leader in financial services, directly contributing to our strategicobjectivesand long-term success.

WHAT WE VALUE

To ensure success in this role,possessingone or more of the following skills will be highly beneficial:

• Integration testing experience: Experienceinbuilding integration testing capabilities for service-based architectures at scale, ideally in a business-to-business or software-as-a-service context.

• Cloud and platformexpertise: Experience with Microsoft Azureand Azure Kubernetes Service; strong background in .NET.

• Testing strategies: Knowledge of testing strategies, includingblack/grey/white box testing,consumer-driven contract testing, integration layering, pipeline governance, and quality gates.

• Test data management: Practical experience with synthetic data approaches, data masking, and designing environments for testability.

• Testing economy: Optimization of cost-of-testing, including experience with shift-left patterns andability to formulate various tradeoffs when adhering to economic testing approaches.

• Automation mindset: An automation-first mindset, witha track recordof improvinglead-time-for-changes,minimizing escaped defects,reducing failure rates, and increasing recovery speed.

• Stakeholder management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive consensus across platform, application, Site Reliability Engineering,andproduct teams, and to remain resilient in complex or ambiguous situations.

• Performance and security testing: Experience with performance and load testing, resilience testing, or security testing integration is a plus.

• Compliance and best practices: Exposure to compliance frameworks such as Service Organization Control 2 (SOC2) or Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is beneficial but notrequired.

• Developer experience: Experience curating recommended practices and developer experience artifacts is valued.

• Testing review: As part of our architectural review of system and services, you willbe responsible forreviewing the testing strategy of the system

• Enablement and scaling: The role is focused on building foundations and guidelines for other teams to scale; documentation and alignment are essential.

• Coaching and enablement: Partsof your time will be dedicated tothecoaching and enablementof ourTechLeads andEngineering teams, withmost ofyour timefocusedon architecturedecisionsand design.
