We’re embracing a hybrid work model that enables our teams to split their time between office and home. Hybrid for us means we expect our teams to come together in our state-of-the-art office on two core days, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday - working together in person and choosing where they work for the remainder of the week. What You'll Do: 

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

• Support the design, testing, and documentation of security-focused products under the guidance of senior engineers. 
• Assist with analyzing design alternatives and help surface tradeoffs in performance, cost, or schedule to your team. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, industrial design, sourcing, and product management on assigned tasks. 
• Help execute the product development process from prototyping through testing, following direction from senior engineers on requirements, cost, and schedule targets. 
• Build and run prototype tests, and help troubleshoot issues under supervision. 
• Participate in design reviews with suppliers and manufacturing partners, and help prepare materials for those reviews. 
• Escalate resource or knowledge gaps to your lead or manager. 
• Assist with documentation for the Technical Requirements Document. 
• Complete well-defined engineering tasks and deliverables assigned by senior engineers or the engineering lead. 
• Support risk identification within your assigned scope of work. 
• Build foundational knowledge of emerging technologies, sensors, and manufacturing processes relevant to product design. 
• Bring energy and curiosity to your work and ask questions to grow quickly.

What You'll Bring: 

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
• 1+ years of relevant industry experience (internships or co-ops count). 
• Coursework or project experience related to low-power or battery-operated electronics is a plus. 
• Some exposure to designing, building, or testing electronic systems. 
• Willingness to learn from and work closely with product management to understand customer needs. 
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn from more experienced engineers. 
• Basic familiarity with embedded systems concepts such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, or similar interfaces is a plus. 
• Exposure to RF technologies (Sub-GHz, WiFi, BLE) is a plus but not required. 
• A demonstrated bias for action and a strong desire to grow into a systems engineering role. 
• Travel: Willing to travel to our manufacturing partners in China 1-3 times per year.

The target annual base pay range for this role is $70,700 to $94,300.

This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages, including base pay, taking into consideration employees’ job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and other relevant business factors.
