Full Stack Architect

Job Title : Full Stack Architect (React.js & Node.js)

Experience Required : 10-15 years of total IT experience. 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Architect. Strong hands-on expertise in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern cloud-native application architecture.

Job Purpose : The Full Stack Architect will define, design, and drive the end-to-end architecture of enterprise-grade web applications using React.js for frontend and Node.js for backend services. This role will provide technical leadership across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps while collaborating closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will establish architecture standards, ensure scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and mentor engineering teams in building modern cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture & Technical Leadership :

- Define and own the overall Full Stack Architecture for enterprise-scale applications.

- Design scalable, secure, highly available, and high-performance systems using React.js and Node.js.

- Establish technical standards, coding guidelines, architecture principles, and development best practices.

- Drive architectural decisions across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.

- Lead architecture discussions and provide technical direction across multiple development teams.

2. Frontend Architecture (React.js) :

- Design scalable frontend architecture using React.js, TypeScript, Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar state management libraries.

- Develop reusable UI component libraries and enterprise design systems.

- Ensure responsive, accessible (WCAG), cross-browser compatible, and high-performance user interfaces.

- Implement frontend performance optimization using lazy loading, code splitting, tree shaking, caching, and bundle optimization.

- Collaborate closely with UX/UI teams to translate Figma designs into scalable React applications.

3. Backend Architecture (Node.js) :

- Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, or similar frameworks.

- Architect RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, event-driven services, and microservices.

- Design authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, SSO, RBAC, and Identity Providers.

- Implement logging, monitoring, exception handling, and API governance.

- Optimize backend performance and scalability for high-volume applications.

4. Database & Integration :

- Design scalable database architecture using SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Optimize data models, indexing, caching strategies, and query performance.

- Integrate third-party services, enterprise applications, payment gateways, and external APIs.

- Implement messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar event streaming platforms.

5. Cloud & DevOps :

- Design cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

- Implement Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.

- Define Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams for deployment automation and environment management.

6. Performance & Security :

- Drive application performance optimization across frontend and backend.

- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and performance audits.

- Ensure compliance with OWASP security standards and secure coding practices.

- Implement API security, HTTPS, CSP, XSS prevention, CSRF protection, rate limiting, and encryption.

- Define disaster recovery, scalability, and high-availability strategies.

7. Leadership & Collaboration :

- Mentor senior developers and technical leads.

- Conduct architecture reviews and technical design sessions.

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and UX teams.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

- Present architecture roadmaps and technology recommendations to senior leadership.

- Coordinate with external vendors and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 1015 years of software development experience.

- Minimum 5+ years as a Full Stack Architect, Solution Architect, or Technical Architect.

- Strong expertise in React.js, Node.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and building enterprise-grade web applications.

2. Backend :

- Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, REST APIs, GraphQL, Microservices, WebSockets, Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis.

3. Cloud :

- AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.

4. DevOps :

- Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, Version Control, Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Testing, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Mocha, Supertest, Monitoring & Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, New Relic, Datadog.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

- Experience with Event-Driven Architecture.

- Knowledge of Serverless Architecture.

- Experience implementing enterprise design systems.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.

- Experience with large-scale SaaS platforms.

- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
