Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Key Account Manager to lead strategic customer relationships and drive profitable sales growth. This role involves managing key accounts within the confectionery and FMCG sector, working closely with retail partners to optimise product visibility, implement effective promotional plans, and expand market share. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering results in a complex sales environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans for key retail accounts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customer teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance.
- Manage and optimise product distribution, shelving, and visibility at retail locations.
- Plan and implement impactful promotional campaigns in partnership with customer marketing teams.
- Analyze sales data and performance against KPIs; draw insights and adjust strategies to achieve targets.
- Lead new product launches, ensuring timely and effective execution to maximise sales impact.
- Monitor and manage client budgets and trade spend to achieve maximum value.
- Present fact-based proposals and negotiate to secure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to grow the category and expand presence at retail.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in sales or key account management within FMCG.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
- Experience in managing complex projects and working effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Ability to translate category strategies into actionable sales plans and inspire teams to execute them.
