Sizewell C is the company building a new nuclear power station at Sizewell on the Suffolk coast of England, where two EPR reactors are planned to supply low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. The project reached a final investment decision in 2025 with the UK government as the largest shareholder alongside EDF and other investors, and its construction is expected to involve more than 2,000 UK businesses and support 70,000 jobs. Construction-phase openings span project and commercial managers, site and quality engineers, surveyors, planners, bus and HGV drivers and apprentices, many advertised through the EDF jobs service it shares with the Hinkley Point project.

Hinkley Point C

Role purpose

The Learning Coordinator will provide the planning, administrative and reporting support needed to deliver training effectively across the NSA EPR Project Training Team. The role will act as a central point of contact for key stakeholders, build trusted working relationships and turn training demand into clear, achievable delivery plans.

The postholder will maintain accurate schedules, records, actions and management information, giving the Group Head and wider team clear visibility of demand, progress, risks, capacity and performance.

Key responsibilities

Stakeholder relationship management: Develop and maintain effective relationships with project teams, contractors, training leads, instructors, internal support functions and external providers. Act as a reliable point of contact, understand stakeholder needs and provide clear updates on progress and delivery.

Demand capture and coordination: Engage with stakeholders to identify, clarify and record training requirements. Confirm the audience, volumes, timescales, priorities, funding route and expected outcomes before work is added to the delivery plan.

Delivery planning: Translate agreed demand into practical short and medium-term plans, coordinating course dates, instructor availability, venues, equipment, materials and learner requirements. Identify dependencies early and keep plans aligned with changing project priorities.

Scheduling and resource control: Maintain the integrated training schedule and support effective use of instructors, classrooms and delivery capacity. Resolve clashes, highlight gaps and escalate resource pressures or risks in time for action to be taken.

Training administration: Provide accurate end-to-end administration for planned activity, including bookings, joining information, attendance records, completion evidence, course documentation, action logs and follow-up communications. Ensure records are complete, controlled and easy to retrieve.

Reporting and management information: Prepare clear weekly and monthly reports, dashboards and slide packs covering demand, delivery, attendance, cancellations, no-shows, capacity, utilisation, income where applicable, risks and upcoming milestones. Check data quality and explain key trends, variances and actions.

Meetings and action tracking: Coordinate stakeholder and planning meetings, prepare agendas and supporting information, record decisions and maintain action trackers. Follow up owners and due dates to ensure commitments are completed.

Risk and issue management: Maintain visibility of delivery risks, issues and dependencies, working with the relevant owners to agree mitigations and escalating concerns that could affect timescales, quality or stakeholder commitments.

Supplier and internal liaison: Coordinate with external training providers and internal teams to confirm requirements, availability, documentation and delivery arrangements, ensuring stakeholders receive consistent information.

Skills and experience

Stakeholder management: Strong relationship-building skills with the confidence to work across different teams, challenge constructively and maintain trust through clear and dependable communication.

Planning and coordination: Experience managing competing priorities, schedules, actions and dependencies in a busy project or operational environment.

Administration and attention to detail: A structured approach to records, documentation and follow-up, with a high level of accuracy and ownership.

Reporting and data analysis: Able to collect, validate and interpret information, produce concise reports and highlight trends, risks and decisions required.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for stakeholders at different levels.

Digital capability: Confident using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams. Experience of learning management systems, Power BI or other reporting tools would be beneficial.

Relevant experience: Previous experience in learning coordination, training administration, project coordination or a similar role. Experience in a safety-critical, regulated or complex project environment would be advantageous.
