The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for the federally contracted ICE residential facilitylocated in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Conditions of Employment:

• Employees must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.

• Employment contingent upon required screenings and clearances.

• Compliance with federal security and operational protocols required.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

• Must show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, operations, and maintenance requirements.

• Associate degree, HVAC apprenticeship completion, and/or a minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience.

• EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical information related to HVAC equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement corrective actions.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

• Test HVAC equipment and components to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications

• Install ductwork, piping, thermostats, controls, and ventilation systems

• Monitor system performance and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements

• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs

• Perform service, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, air-handling equipment, chilled water systems, hot water systems, DX systems, exhaust systems, and related equipment.

• Complete routine preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
