The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for the federally contracted ICE residential facilitylocated in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Conditions of Employment:
Employees must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
Employment contingent upon required screenings and clearances.
Compliance with federal security and operational protocols required.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Must show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications:
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, operations, and maintenance requirements.
Associate degree, HVAC apprenticeship completion, and/or a minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
EPA Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
Ability to clearly communicate technical information related to HVAC equipment and systems.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and implement corrective actions.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Test HVAC equipment and components to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications
Install ductwork, piping, thermostats, controls, and ventilation systems
Monitor system performance and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements
Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs
Perform service, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, air-handling equipment, chilled water systems, hot water systems, DX systems, exhaust systems, and related equipment.
Complete routine preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
