• FinTech payments: Overcoming a key challenge for Entrepreneurs by offering digital banking services to new businesses

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

• Be the backbone of Sleek’s Australian bookkeeping services - help us scale our internal processes and set the standard for excellence.
• Manage your own portfolio of startup and SME clients - from advisory to compliance, you’re their go-to expert.
• Represent clients confidently with the ATO - you're their compliance right hand.
• Own the end-to-end monthly or quarterly filings prep & lodgement process - accuracy is your middle name.
• Provide guidance and quality control for our remote bookkeeping team - because great numbers start with clean books.
• Act as a trusted advisor on all things bookkeeping & accounting - from planning to problem-solving.
• Lead, mentor and grow a team of like-minded, ambitious bookkeepers and accountants - we’re building a dream team, and you’re at the helm.

Requirements

We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeping leader ready to make a strong impact. To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• A passion for the Australian SME space and the accounting industry.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping role, managing a portfolio of SME clients (Companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders...).
• At least 2 years’ experience managing a team of bookkeepers.
• You believe AI is an enabler for greater efficiency and you're building your own skills and workflows.
• Strong client service and communication skills - you’re confident in explaining complex matters in a simple way.
• A high level of professionalism - you represent Sleek with integrity and care.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills - you can manage multiple tasks without losing focus.
• Proficiency with Xero Practice Manager, Dext, A2X, and other accounting operations tools.
• A proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.

Important: You must hold valid Australian work rights. You must be based in Australia.
