Slide Insurance is currently hiring multiple Staff Counsel attorneys to support our growing legal team.
Opportunities are available in both Pre-Suit and Litigation capacities.
What You’ll Do
Pre-Suit Staff Counsel
- Manage pre-litigation claims and legal matters.
- Provide legal guidance during claim investigations and negotiations.
- Partner with claims professionals to resolve matters before litigation.
- Litigation Staff Counsel
- Handle cases through all phases of litigation.
- Conduct depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials.
- Manage litigation strategy and represent the company in court.
What You Bring
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership (in good standing)
- 4+ years of litigation experience in Florida; first-party property defense experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure, evidence rules, and insurance-related statutes
- Excellent written and oral advocacy, negotiation, and legal research skills
- Ability to independently analyze legal issues and manage cases with minimal supervision
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong commitment to professionalism, ethics, and Slide’s Core Values
